Family Volunteer Opportunities at Lights of Tejas!

Feed the Need needs volunteers throughout the rest of December to serve with us at Lights of Tejas. If you and/or your family would like to sign up for an evening (or evenings) to serve that would be much appreciated. As a volunteer here is what to expect:

Schedule for each day:

4:00 – 4:30pm Volunteer Arrival & Check in. As you drive up to the front gate tell them you’re volunteering with Feed the Need as a Community Partner. The parking crew will direct you on where to park and then send you to the dining hall to sign in.

4:30 – 5:30pm Dinner. When you volunteer with us you get a free meal (the food is excellent:). After you are finished eating you will head to Marmax, which is the building our booth is set up in.

5:45 – 8:30pm Feed the Need Missions table. You and the other volunteers will make sure everything goes smoothly at the table. Again, it’s very simple and really fun!

Volunteer Christmas Party

We want to thank all of our volunteers for serving with us this year. It has been an incredible year and we can’t do this without you. Come join us for a fun and exciting evening at Community Gardens. Enjoy Ma’Coco’s Mexican Food, desserts, and hot coffee AND of course Christmas music.

This is a kid friendly event so bring your children and of course your spouse! Playscape and sand box is available to play, catch and release fish pond, Christmas craft and plenty more. You don’t want to miss out on our giveaways to celebrate our appreciation for you!!

NEIGHBOR’S Helping Neighbors

Did you know that on Wednesdays, Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard gives back 10% to a chosen non-profit for the entire month? NEIGHBOR’S Helping Neighbors – November philanthropy partner is Feed the Need Missions. Our mission is to feed people physically and spiritually by providing a hot meal and a listening ear. Join us Wednesdays when 10% of proceeds benefit Feed the Need Missions. Thank you for being a part of NEIGHBOR’S Helping Neighbors.

Also, Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard is a pick up location for Gobble Kits. Grab a bag while you’re there to help a family in need this Thanksgiving Holiday. All instructions are included on the bag.

Gobble Kit Distribution Day – Stony Point

If you live close by come serve with us and help us distribute Gobble Kits to families in need this Thanksgiving holiday. We will serve our regular site meal of hamburgers and hot dogs while giving away Gobble Kits to those who signed up to receive them. This fun event will bless your heart this Thanksgiving when you experience the recipients love and joy as they receive their kit. Come be a part of this exciting time with Feed The Need Missions!

We ask that you show up to help set-up and receive Gobble Kit distribution instructions. Set-up starts at 4:30pm. This is a fun family friendly event. Let your children experience what it feels like to give back during this Holiday season.
