A Family’s Journey with Feed the Need Missions: Serving, Loving, and Giving Back

There is a sacred kind of strength that rises from the ashes of hardship, and for Ashlynn and her children, that strength was found through something simple yet profound: serving others. After battling one of the darkest storms any family can face, they discovered a light in their community that would change everything. For Ashlynn, […]

FINDING PURPOSE IN SERVICE

Cherie has been part of the Feed the Need Missions family since 2010, lending her hands and heart to everything from back-office tasks to on-the-ground service at our community sites. While she’s always been dedicated, it was during last year’s Gobble Kit season that she experienced something truly life-changing. The Gobble Kit initiative is one […]

Finding Peace and Purpose in the Midst of Chaos

In the hustle and bustle of modern life, with its unending stream of news, personal worries, and daily stressors, finding a moment of peace can often seem like an insurmountable challenge. Yet, in these times, it is crucial to discover our own sanctuary, a place where our soul can find quiet and solace. My mornings […]

A Father’s Day Prayer

Gratitude for Dad All my dad ever wanted was for us to grow up to be good, honest God-fearing people. He worked hard to put food on the table, clothes on my body, a roof over my head and provide my education. He never asked for a special thanks for those things. We all tried […]

April Showers Bring May Flowers

There’s a popular phrase that encourages me to look forward to the month of April with excitement and enthusiasm, in spite of the depression that looms from the hard and long winter of the past several months and challenges in life: “April showers bring May flowers.” As families around the world gathered recently to celebrate […]

Volunteer Story: Life Transformation

I was born into a world of fear and spent my entire childhood, teenage years, and most of my twenties trying to find a way out of my dilemma. I knew that fear was not natural and that the side effects were debilitating, but it seemed to have an unrelenting grip upon my mind. I […]

Pray & Reflect With Us: Thanksgiving

Samuel F Pugh wrote a very popular prayer that many know and use. I believe this prayer is how we need to pray everyday. God is so gracious and loving and gives us so abundantly. We are beyond blessed with so much, while unfortunately, some have so little. Why? I don’t have the answer other […]

PRAY & REFLECT WITH US: A NEW YEAR

It’s hard to believe that it’s already 2019! I always take some time during the last few days of the year to reflect on this past year, and come up with some goals for the year ahead. And since I know I’m not alone, and a few days late, I have a little trick for […]

DARRINGTON PRISON

I enjoy my quiet time with Jesus. I seek refuge in His Word to balance my busy life and all the anxiety in it. I can chose where, when and for how long I want to be in fellowship in my savior. For inmates incarcerated at Darrington Prison this looks very different. They have time, […]

Missed Opportunities and Second Chances

A mentor of mine once told me that it is important to document what you are feeling and to take a journal and write down what God is doing in your heart. And then saturate the experience in prayer as you walk alongside God and those with whom you are serving. Then share it. So […]
