Regina was born and raised in Bastrop. She has six sisters, three brothers and thirty-two nieces and nephews. She was raised by both parents and was brought up going to church.
“I heard about Feed the Need Missions through Dwight (Dwight is a gentleman whose been attending for several years). I’m his caregiver, and when he told me about Feed the Need Missions I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was real quiet when I started coming. I didn’t understand why it was for free, since nothing in life is free; except Salvation. I told Dwight he was was crazy, but I was the one who was crazy by not believing him.”
After coming for a year Regina now serves at our Bastrop Feed the Need site by cutting up vegetables. Her and Dwight both stay for the bible study. Regina enjoys the bible study time because sometimes she might have to miss Sunday church. On these occasions, she can come to the site to hear God’s word and to be loved on unconditionally.
“Feed the Need Missions is a great benefit for the community. The support out here is amazing and much needed. It benefits the people and me. People come for the food and they will be fed the Word,” Regina said. Then a light bulb went off and she said “That’s why you feed people physically and spiritually! Praise God for all that you do.”
