A Letter from Our President
I have been eagerly waiting for the day to share this news with you. Today, I am pleased to announce that Mission U-Too is officially changing its name to Feed the Need Missions, and we are thrilled to see what God does through this new name.
Seven years ago God burdened my heart to get involved with a group of people that were flipping burgers and telling others about Jesus. They called it Mission U-Too because their heart was aimed to get you involved also.
A year later it became clear that there was more to this simple cookout than just serving burgers in one small town in Texas. God wanted us to spread this ministry and empower people to share their faith with a hurting world that might not typically step foot in a church. Today we serve in six locations across Texas, and are equipped to provide disaster relief in our own communities and across the country if needed.
I have seen this organization build strong communities in the areas where we meet weekly. People are drawn in from all walks of life, and serve together with a heart of making disciples that are passionate about seeing God’s kingdom advance. By using a tool as simple as a burger, the gospel is being shared and people’s lives are being changed. It is truly amazing to watch God expand this ministry and continually remind us of our need for Jesus.
As the ministry has grown, it has been a challenge to explain what our organization does because our name, Mission U-Too, can come across confusing. We began to pray about a new name a few years ago and the past year Feed the Need Missions fell into place. And we couldn’t be more excited about this change.
Our focus is still the same mission, same great people, same free burger, and same desire to spread the gospel by feeding people physically and spiritually. I love the fact that the name not only calls us to action in feeding people, but also reminds us of our need to be fed by Jesus.
Here is a link to our press release and official statement regarding our name change. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions you might have. I hope you are as fired up as we are about this new chapter, we can’t wait to see God move through Feed the Need Missions.
In Him,
Jonah Beyer
President
