This year’s Feed the Need Event was a huge success! And we couldn’t have done it without our supporters, like you. We were blown away by the response and generosity by all who attended, and loved spending such a memorable night with you.

Announcing Mission U-Too’s first ever video contest!

Calling all filmmakers, actors, video producers, and all wanna-be filmmakers, aspiring actors, and amateur video producers to submit their work for a chance to win big!

If you’ve checked out the Mission U-Too Kingsland or Bastrop Facebook pages lately, you may have noticed some “public service announcements” like the one below talking about the new Mission U-Too sausage.

 

Now is your chance to join in and make your own video featuring Mission U-Too’s sausage with a purpose.

Create a short three minutes or less video, and be sure to include the following information:

  1. Mission U-Too’s vision and mission, why we do what we do (click here for a little refresher)
  2. Sell the sausage…this can include how it provides a meal for every package sold, how it tastes, maybe even your very own recipe with the sausage
  3. Where you can buy the sausage (hint: HEB is a good starting place)

The video that most creatively and effectively displays all of the information above will be chosen as our winner, and will be featured on our homepage. Plus they’ll receive a package of Mission U-Too’s sausage and a Beyond the Grill T-shirt.

That sounds pretty sweet!

Enter by emailing a link to your video and posting it to our Facebook wall by February 28, 2014. Winners will be announced on March 7, 2014. Please see below for more detailed instructions.

TO ENTER MISSION U-TOO’S 2014 VIDEO CONTEST:

  2. Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo
  3. Email your video link to contest@feedtheneed.org by the February 28, 2014 deadline

  5. A panel of judges will select a winner based on creativity and effectively communicating the above requirements for the video
  6. A winner will be announced on March 7, 2014

Winner will receive:

  • their video featured on Mission U-Too’s homepage,
  • a free package of Mission U-Too sausage, and
  • a free Beyond the Grill T-shirt in their size

Runner-up (1) will receive:

  • a free package of Mission U-Too sausage
