WHY FORT BEND COUNTY?
THE NEED
Fort Bend County is one of the wealthiest counties in Texas, however several towns located in the county, like Richmond and Rosenberg, have poverty levels higher than what we have seen in some of our other towns where we already serve. There is a huge need!
Feed the Need Missions is hoping to help bridge the gap between this juxtaposition and start serving those in these small towns.
THE CONNECTIONS
When Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017, Fort Bend County was one of the regions Feed the Need Missions reached out to. Over the past year, we have been developing relationships with individuals and churches in the area who have a heart and desire to see our vision of feeding people physically and spiritually expand to their community.
One of the challenges of starting a new location is finding volunteers, and in Fort Bend County we already have an army of supporters ready to dive in and serve.
THE DIRECTION
Most importantly, this area has been placed on our heart for a long time. It been an area we have been praying about launching for quite sometime, and we finally feel like God is providing the green light to go.
We don’t take this command lightly, and all of us at Feed the Need Missions cannot wait to see how God will lead and direct us as we expand our ministry into this new location.
